Dining out with children in Marrakech is easy and relaxed. Here is what to expect and how to make the most of it.
Children are welcomed everywhere in Marrakech. Staff often dote on little ones, and families with kids are the norm rather than the exception at most restaurants.
Moroccan meals are made for sharing. A single tagine or couscous easily feeds the whole family, and mild, comforting dishes are perfect for younger palates.
Moroccans dine late — lunch runs 1–3 PM and dinner from 8 PM — but many cafés and terraces serve all day, so you can eat on your children's schedule.
Ask for a high chair (chaise haute) — many venues have them. Riad courtyards and garden terraces give kids room to move, with fresh juices and mint tea for little ones.
